ALBERT AUGUST GALLO's Obituary
Albert Gallo 88 of San Bernardino, CA; passed away June 7, 2007 in San Bernardino. He was a WWII Veteran and fought in the Belgium Army and was a survivor of the May 1940 battle where Belgian soldiers were ordered to hold the Germans at all cost during the evacuation of the British at Dunkirk. He was a botanist at UCR and grew plants for air pollution research. He finished his career at Dangermonds Nursery in Redlands where he retired. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption and a member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included electronics and his greenhouse. Albert is survived by his children, Oscar Gallo, Marie Wurster, Rita Drinville, Albert Gallo, Johan Gallo and Yolande Bools. 12 Grand Children and 8 great-grandchildren. A viewing and memorial service will be held at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA. Saturday June 16th at 10:00 AM with the interment immediately following at Mt. View Cemetery, San Bernardino.
