Addie May Collins, 77, of Highland, California, passes away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 19th. Addie is survived by her devoted husband Glenn Collins, Son Danny (Debra) Collins, Loving daughter Ginger (john) Donnell Read Obituary
Addie was truly a special person, and I both admired and loved her. She was warm and down-to-earth, and at the same time strong and courageous in a quiet. I only knew her for a few short years through the Inland Empire Chapter of Childhelp. She was the first person to welcome me into the chapter, and always had a positive, affirming word for me. What a treasure she was! I am so looking forward to seeing her in heaven, and giving her a great big hug! We will all miss you, Addie.
Ginger, I was so sad to learn of your mom's passing.
I have so many happy memories of time spent with all of you getting ready for your wedding, watching her laughing and sharing memories with her life-long friends, and seeing how involved she was with her family.
She also generously opened her home and her pool to me and my nieces several times, and we all had so much fun!
She was so much herself, and I will always remember her kindness.

Addie & I were close friends throughout our Highland Jr. High years. We would walk to and from school every day. I lived just around the corner on Valaria Dr. Her dad drove a Helms bakery truck, and we always helped ourselves to left over treats. Addie was very slim, and I was on the chunky (fat) side. One morning her dog spot was hit by a car while he was following us to school, but he survived after the stranger offered to take the dog to the vet. After entering high school, we grew apart (she fell in love with Glen}. We had lots of fun times, and her mother was always getting mad at us (especially when we crawled out the church window and visited the taco restaurant on Baseline!!) I often think about her, but we never reconnected after our wonderful years at Highland Jr. High.
