Aaron B. Katz's Obituary
Aaron Bernard Katz died peacefully in his home on April 30, 2023. He was 87 years old. Aaron was born in New York but spent most of his childhood in Riverside, CA with his parents, Lou and Cecile, and his siblings Rosalie, Ken and Gerald. Aaron graduated from UCLA and married the love of his life, Ina. They were married for 65 years until she passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s. Aaron worked as an insurance agent for over 50 years. He also volunteered with many organizations, including The American Heart Association (president of the board), Temple Emanu El in San Bernardino (president of the board), The Suicide Hotline and The Book Project. Aaron was very athletic with tennis, racquetball, running marathons and bowling as his favorite sports. Aaron and Ina’s son, Michael, died at an early age from congenital heart disease. He is survived by all of his siblings as well as his children: Karen (Keith), Jim, Jill (Steve), his grandchildren: Taylor, Cody, Zachery, Jordyn, Liana and Gabriel and his one great-grandson: Owen. Aaron was beloved by all who knew him for his kindness, generosity, silliness, positivity, sense of fun and willingness to help anyone in need.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 3rd at 1pm at Bobbit Memorial Chapel with internment to follow at Home of Eternity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or Home of Eternity Cemetery.
