I was in Darlene’s company only a few times but from minute one she was sweet, sociable, and easy to be with. A dear lady who is now at peace and reunited with her love, Russ.
Although I only saw Darlene twice, I was amazed at how quickly she fit in with a large group of her husband's relatives. She was very sweet.
I can't say it's been easy since Christmas. But my family and I shared our memories of Aunt Dalene over Christmas and we toasted her at New Year's. She was kind; loving; and funny. I remember when I had to help take her to the doctor. And we wound up getting lost. I looked over to Aunt Dalene and said "Well; this was just like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride". To which she laughed and said "At least it was fun!" She is with my Uncle now and with God. Love you Aunt Dalene; sweet dreams.

Susan and I visited Dalene only infrequently when we were able to visit L.A. I treasure her integration into the Riggs family. John Dunlop
Dalene was a member of my InLaw family for many years before I really
got to know her. From the very first she was always there with “ Happy “.
We shared fun talks and experiences at family gatherings. Her outlook on
life was “ everything’s fine “”. So now Dalene please Rest in Peace with
Russ for finally everything is fine.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to share a lot of time with her, but I do know that many years ago, she was beautifully chosen to be my dear cousin, Russ, as his wife. As they are now reunited, no more sadness or suffering exists for them.
Aunt Dalene (Dinnie) will always hold a very special place in our hearts and memories. She was an incredibly loving woman with a sparkling personality and a wonderful sense of humor. While she will be sorely missed, we have deep faith that she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior. With much love, Chris and Cathy

Dalene was my sister-in-law and a dear friend. Whenever I would stop by with something special for her I would get one of her dear smiles and an exclamation “it’s just like Christmas”. I think that when Christmas comes around from now on and someone says “it’s just like Christmas “ I will think of her. Anything that you would want to do for her was always met with deep appreciation. You were a rare friend Dalene. Thank you.
