John Bradford "Brad" Lyons

John Bradford (Brad) Lyons, 66 of Beaumont, CA passed away on February 8, 2018. He was born to the late Gordon Kenneth and Margaret Lyons on September 28, 1951, in Washington, D.C. Brad graduated at 16 with the first graduating class of Mission Viejo High School in 1968. He attended Johns Hopkins University and the University of Arizona. Brad began a long and successful career in the automobile industry in 1978. His success led to various management positions with Toyota, Lexus and Mercedes Benz. In 2003, he moved the family west to the Coachella Valley. His love of the valley and its sun & heat is legend. Nothing was better than a 5-mile jog in 110 degrees! He was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, genius, wordsmith, rock star, #1 salesman, long suffering Washington Redskin fan, Jeopardy aficionado, friend and a true gentleman. Brad is survived by his wife, Liz, he is also survived by his two children, Alicia (Aaron) of Centennial, CO and Jonathon (Heather) of Bristow, VA. He was predeceased in death by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn. In addition, he is survived by four grandchildren, Declan, Everly, Calum and Jordan, three brothers, Greg (Sharon) of Mission Viejo, CA, Doug (Charlotte) of Bealton, VA and MacNeil (Lucy) of Gardiner, MT. Memorial services will be on February 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel in San Bernardino. A service will also be held at a later date at St Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in McLean, Virginia. An interment of his remains will follow the service at St. Dunstan’s.
