Cari Collins
I just got back in touch with Marilyn a few months ago. We shared an hour phone conversation. I enjoyed learning things about Marilyn that I did not know before.
When I was growing up Marilyn would often visit my family. My mother, Beth, is her cousin. Marilyn took me to Knott's Berry Farm and we spent the whole day together, just the two of us.
I was 12 when she and David were married. My sister, Connie was a bridesmaid and I was invited to hostess the guest book. I remember so much about that day. It was so special for me to feel a part of the wedding party.
We moved from California when I was 13 and lost touch, but Marilyn and the rest of the family have stayed on my heart and in my thoughts all these years. There is a place in my memories of my family in San Bernadino. It will always be there.
The last time I saw Marilyn was at my grandparent's, Bill and Martha Giebeler's 50th wedding anniversary in 1990.
I was so sad to hear the news, but so very grateful that we had that last phone conversation.
Much love to you, Norm and family,
Cari Ruth Nelson Collins
