William J. Ward

William J. “Bill” Ward, 89, died peacefully at home on January 26, 2010.  He was a lawyer and member of the State Bar for 55 years before his retirement in 2006.


Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cassandra Wynn Ward, his three children Jay Ward (Alexandra), Brett Ward (Susan) and Jill McElwain (Brent) and four grandchildren Devin McElwain, Carly McElwain, Sarah Ward and Emily Ward.


A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday February 4th at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404.  Bill’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 5th at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1407 N Arrowhead Ave. San Bernardino, CA.   Interment will be private.

Dear family: We cannot be with you today. It is so hard to say good bye to dear friends and family. Through many years, Bill was always supportive, helpful, encouraging,and always gave us good advice. He was full of fun. Bill Ward was always a gentleman. We have fond memories of this dear man.
