People often have a favorite waiter or waitress at their favorite restaurant. Because of relationships forged in the past, they want to sit in her section. Over time, she has become as equally important as the food.
It’s not illogical then to consider whom you may wish to serve you when there is a death in your family. Quite often people will request a specific counselor when coming in to make arrangements. Perhaps they dealt with the counselor when someone else died. Possibly they know of someone who helped a friend make arrangements. Or maybe they know someone through community or church involvement.
These are extremely good reasons to request a certain counselor when you come to make arrangements. This often happens here among our staff. It’s nice to begin in a good comfort zone.
Of course, there may be times when that counselor is already helping another family or may be involved in a service. At that point, we would like to think you will find a new friend on our staff.
